The Brindavan Gardens located at the KR Sagar Dam is one of the best terrace gardens in India.
History:
The Brindavan Gardens stands today with beautiful well laid out gardens. The efforts of Sir Mirza Ismail, the then Dewan of the princely State of Mysore, transformed the place into a beautiful garden. Fountains, terraces, parterres, running and cascading water channels, lush green lawns, flower beds, shrubs and trees are worth watching.
Krishnaraja Sagar Dam: The dam is on river Cauvery. It has been named after Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV. The dam is an engineering marvel of Sir M. Vishveswaraya.
