Uttaranchal with valleys, peaks, mighty rivers and snow-capped mountains is a great place adventure. It offers some of the best venues for adventure sports such as skiing, river rafting, canoeing, Para- gliding and rock climbing.
The large slopes of Garhwal and Kumaon covered with seasonal snow are an ideal place for skiing during the winter months.
The Himalayas are the source of some of India's mighty rivers. The rivers race down the slopes and cut deep gorges and break into silvery white rapids. The Garhwal and Kumaon hills provide ideal locales for river rafting in swift swirling rivers.
