Chilka's shore is a home to blackbuck, spotted deer, golden jackals and hyenas, and the lake is rich in aquatic life. It has around 160 species of fish, crustaceans and other marine creatures, including the famous ‘ChilkaDolphin’.

The magnificent Sun Temple at Konark is one of the most stunning religious architecture in the world. It’s the zenith of temple architecture. The massive structure now in ruins, sits surrounded by drifting sands. The temple was built by the King Narshimadeva in the 13th century. The entire temple was designed in the shape of a massive chariot, carrying the Sun God (Surya).
